How to recover contacts
from your SIM card

Mobile phones are used almost all around the world. Nowadays there are many mobile phones service providers in the market and they all compete to get more users. Thanks to cell phones, communication is easier.
Through cell phones we can make calls, send messages, photos and more. Inside each cell phone there is a SIM card which stores specific information about the network we are subscribed to. Also, it stores information like our personal information, our contact list data and sent and received messages.
This card is delivered by the mobile phone service provider when we buy our cell phone, but it can also be bought from any of the provider’s authorized dealers.
What would happen if we ever erase the information about an important contact? What would happen if we lose the SIM card when we take it off the cell phone? Could we recover the contacts from the SIM card? In this article we will answer these questions.

Specialized Software

Thanks to internet we have many tools to solve this problem. If you erased your important contact numbers and want to get them back, you can use free available software on the internet. Information stored in a SIM card is not erased instantly, but new information overwrites the old one.
If you erased a contact and want to recover it, try using the Sim Card Data Recovery Software. You must first download it to your PC, and then you must put your SIM card on a card reader and connect it to your PC through a USB port. It is very easy to use and works fast. This software is compatible with Windows 98 and newer versions.

Ask the Operator

This is another option for you if you cannot recover your contact numbers from your SIM card. You must go to your provider’s customer service center and ask them for permission to recover that information.
When you apply, you must explain why you want to recover those numbers and wait for as long as they ask you to access that information. Keep in mind not all mobile phone service providers have this service.

Duplicates

This is another solution for this problem. Most service providers do have this service, which gives you another SIM card with the same number. The SIM card duplicate is more appropriate in case of theft or involuntary loss. Obviously, you will only recover the numbers that were stored in your phone, but not in the card.
However, as you keep your number, the chances of contacting those people are bigger. As a last resource, you could use social networks to tell all your friends you lost their numbers and ask them to provide that information as soon as possible.
