The most important Chilean singers

Chile has been characterized by great musicians and singers who have achieved worldwide recognition, and in the Chilean territory the arts, especially music, are highly valued and for that reason are performed numerous concerts and festivals within which stand Viña del Mar.
But did you ever wonder what are the most important singers Chile has produced? Do you know what were their most important work? Well, in this article we will tell you who are the most famous Chilean singers, how do they began, and the compositions which catapulted to fame in the world.
Beto Cuevas
Beto Cuevas achieved great popularity with his band la Ley, when they released the album “Invisible” in the year 1995. This album highlighted by songs as important as “Mentira”, “Aquí”, “Fuera de mi” and “Día cero”.
After his time in La Ley band, Beto began his solo career in 2008 and released his first album with a great acceptance in Chile and throughout Latin America. The songs we can highlight are “Háblame”,” Vuelvo” and “Quiero creer”
Miriam Hernandez
Miriam Hernandez started as a singer of romantic songs by the year 1980 and achieved popularity in the mid-80’s with songs from the likes of “El hombre que yo amo”, “eres”, “Se me fue”, “Ese hombre”.
She stands out as an artist who has maintained throughout his career and has achieved great success with their latest songs “Si pudiera amarte”, “Vuela muy alto” and “Rescátame”.
Jorge Gonzales
Jorge Gonzales achieved popularity being the lead singer of Los Prisioneros, during the decade of the 80’s. the most remembered singles from this time are the recognized issues of “¿Por qué no se va?”, “Sexo”, “La voz de los 80’s” and “El baile de los que sobran”.
The decade that followed was also accompanied by many successes among the most memorable we have “Tren al Sur” and “Estreches de corazón”. Today we find Jorge Gonzales with his group Los Updates creating new music.
Alberto Plaza
Songwriter Alberto Plaza is the quintessential romantic themes and rose to fame during the late 90’s with songs like “Bandido”, “Amar en serio”, “Si estuvieras aquí”, “Que cante la vida”.
His success is not only in Chile but also include many other countries for which he have received numerous awards. The last work he has released is entitled “Estás conmigo”.
Quique Neira
He achieved international recognition for being the lead singer of the reggae group “Gondwana” which stands out as one of the best of its kind in Latin America. The topics that catapulted the band to fame was “Felicidad”, “Sentimiento original”, “Verde, Amarillo y rojo” and “Armonía de amor”.
After a successful career he decided to go solo in 2003, reaching high levels of popularity with songs like “Alma”, “Amor prohibido” and “Pensando en ti”.
